About

I've sat in most of the seats in this business.

Producer. Branch manager. Multi-agency manager. Senior leader building the next round of managers. And now an owner running my own shop. That's the whole reason this membership exists.

The career

Eleven years, most of them spent fixing something.

I started in insurance eleven years ago, on the phone and at the kitchen table. Sales first, because that's where you learn whether any of the theory holds up.

From there I moved into management, running a branch. Then multiple agencies at once, which is a different job entirely — you stop solving problems yourself and start building people who can. That led into senior management, where my work was developing the next generation of agency managers.

I was on the road toward the executive suite when I decided I'd rather own the outcome than advise on it. So I left and opened my own agency.

Alongside the insurance work I've built and managed a real estate portfolio — long-term and short-term rentals. Different asset, same discipline: systems, numbers, and people who do what they said they'd do.

The through line in all of it is people. That's the part I actually care about. Production is downstream of whether the people are right and whether the system around them is any good.

The agency

Opened April 2023. Built from nothing.

No producers on day one. No inherited book. Everything since has come from the systems I'm putting in this membership.

What that actually took

Hiring producers with no template for it, then writing one. Building comp plans that didn't quietly reward the wrong behavior. Service workflows that kept retention from leaking while we grew. None of it was clever — it was just written down and then followed.

Why I'm coaching

Every document, script, and process in this membership is something I went looking for, couldn't find, and built. Handing it to another owner costs me nothing and saves them a year. That trade is worth making.

Who I want in the room

Owners and producers who already have a book and are willing to change how they run it. I'd rather have 100 agencies that actually implement than a thousand names on a list.
